Tonight’s mystery artist a lead singer gone solo sued his former band to be able to use their name in his self-promotion. Any guesses who they are or he is??

It was only after some creative differences and health issues that Dennis DeYoung decided his on again off again involvement with the band Styx was over for good. The final nail being a disorder that made him sensitive to too much light and loud noise making performing in larger venues impossible.   Now you need to bear in mind that Dennis wrote and sang all of the band’s top ten hits except one that Tommy Shaw sang on. Ergo Dennis felt it was fair to bill himself as the “Voice” of Styx.  The band members still calling themselves Styx  objected and it went to court where a judge decided  that the band could still call themselves Styx and Dennis could use the verbiage Dennis could promote himself using "the music of Styx" or "formerly of Styx" (but not "the voice of Styx"). Po-tato – Potat-o.

Here is tonight’s featured song with Dennis and the guys.
