Tonight’s mystery have a hit song that in 1999 a movie was made with the same title about some kids who try to scam their way into one of their concerts.  Any idea of the song or the band??

If you guessed KISS you are right in one.  And this would not be the first time that their theatrical looks and characters would make them movie fodder.  In 1999 the movie was 'Detroit Rock City' When in the time of disco a group of teens finagle their way into a KISS Concert.  Back in 1978 they made for TV movie ‘KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park’ Kind of reads like an episode of Scooby Doo (Which for the record they were on as well, see below) IMBD describes the phantom movie plot thus:

The tale of rock band KISS and their efforts to thwart a diabolical plan by mad scientist Abner Devereaux. Devereaux has found a way to clone humans into robots in his laboratory at an amusement park. It just so happens that he plans to uses the KISS concert as a platform to unleash his plan on the world. KISS must use their special powers to stop him.
