Tonight’s mystery artists, a southern rock band will often play for Country music events because the lines between southern rock and country are as he puts it blurred. Think you know who he is or the band he founded??

The music festival was called Winstock and it is held yearly in Minnesota. Back in 2013 mixed in with a host of country performers was 38 Special, which according to band co-founder and current member is a natural thing.

He said, “The line has been kind of blurred through the years,” 38 Special lead singer Don Barnes said in a pre-Winstock interview.

He said a lot of today’s country music acts have borrowed elements of sound and style from many of the southern rock acts that have been around for decades (since 1976, in 38 Special’s case).

“The crowd, because they’ve been exposed to that style and everything, it’s not a problem,” Barnes said about performing in a country lineup. “Before you know it, we’ve won them over. Our approach and big-time party attitude, and good, well-written, crafted songs, and we’ve got ‘em screaming at the end.”

The band loves hearing people at the end of the night coming up and saying, “Man, I didn’t know that was you.”

And here they are with tonight's featured song.
