Tonight’s mystery artists have a hit that when they perform it live can last up to two minutes longer than the album version of the song.  Any guesses as to the band or the song??

So what takes on a life of its own in concert? That would be ‘Same Ole Song And Dance’ by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith. Story goes that song was built around a riff that Joe Perry came up with while sitting on his amp. Steven Tyler quickly came up with the lyrics. ‘Same Old Song And Dance’ is known for its dueling guitars by Perry and Brad Whitford, along with an upbeat rhythm and the interspersed horns.
A fan favorite and staple in the band's live shows, they often do an extended jam on the song during a live in concert. The additional runs can often extend the song another two minutes over the song's original running time. This extended jam at the end of a song is used as a showcase for bassist Tom Hamilton. Steven Tyler is also known to do his trademark scat during these jams. The song came in at number 437 on I-95’s countdown of the top 500 classic rock songs of all time for Memorial Day weekend 2015.
