Tonight’s mystery artists wrote a song about being to lazy to try marrying into a higher class  to be more financially secure. It was so political it was never released as a single in England. Think you can guess the band or the song??

The song Wikipedia writes is a bleak look at English society back in the 1970s. The lyrics lament an unemployed working class Englishman who would rather bet the horses than try to marry into the upper class, the only way to get ahead in English society.

"You know marrying money is a full time job/I don't need the aggravation/I'm a lazy sod"

Sound familiar? It is from the Rolling Stones song 'Hang Fire' which in British circles means to do nothing. They go on to say:

The song is one of the few times the band wrote an overtly political song, and it is notable that it was never released as a single in England, even though the band was touring Europe during the single's North American release.

And here is tonight's featured song.
