Tonight’s mystery artists wrote a hit song whose funky beat was inspires by Stevie Wonders ‘Superstition’ and that back in February of this year was re-released with alternate lyrics.  Can you guess the tune or the band??

Let’s start with the authors of the song Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones who say the song ‘Trampled Under Foot’  evolved out of a jam session in 1972 and is about giving into temptation.

According to Wikipedia: A lot of rehearsal went into perfecting the relentless semi-funk riff that dominates this song and John Paul Jones credited Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ as the inspiration for the beat.

As for the redo of sorts, Led Zeppelin re-recorded the song with alternate lyrics and a slightly different structure called, ‘Brandy & Coke’ (Trampled Under Foot) [Initial Rough Mix]. It was released on 11 February 2015 (on iTunes), as part of the remastering process of all nine albums. The rest of the album was released on 23 February 2015.
