Tonight’s mystery artist says that his music reflects his love of poetry, containing sincerity and sarcasm. Can you guess who he might be or his band??

I found this bit of insight in a 2011interview between the late Vanity Fair journalist Marc Spitz and Ric Ocasek of The Cars. Here is an excerpt:

RO: Everything is totally sincere, but there’s a lot of sarcasm and some comedy in the lyrics. I’ve always been a fan of poetry. I really followed that stuff for a while. I just love the way people threw words around like they were painting.

He added that some things like brush your rock and roll hair he wanted the listener to make of it what they want to. On the other hand he said he think "Shake it Up" was crap. Luck for him it was crap we liked.
