Tonight’s mystery artist had finally broken through with a hit single only to be up staged on tour by his opening act.  Can you guess who he is or the band that stole the spotlight??

It was on his third attempt that Billy Squier finally got traction with his album ‘Emotions In Motion’. The album would yield his Top 40 hit ‘Everybody Wants You’ and a lesser hit Emotions In Motion with backup vocals by Freddie Mercury. So there he was in 1983 with hits under his belt and heading out on tour with another burgeoning band as his opening act called Def Leppard.  Story goes that they completely upstaged him at every performance but to be fair it was 5 against one.
