Tonight’s mystery artist played a concert in his hometown back in 1976 to nearly 80,000 fans while the following night he played in another state to less than 1000 people. Think you can guess who gets that kind of hometown pride??

Let’s start with the devoted town, which would be Detroit Michigan. So you guessed it I’m sure our hometown hero was Bob Seger. Now by 1976 Bob had many successful releases including Beautiful Loser, Turn The Page and Katmandu. Enough to have his Detroit fans to honor him like a star. According to WOMC ,Chicago would be the next gig he played to a lack luster crowd but needless to say that would change in the coming years because Bob Seger was just getting started.

In November of 2014 Bob Seger would return to Chicago  and play to a sold out crowd at the Allstate Arena which holds 18,500. Now that's a little more like it.

Here is tonight's featured song with Kid Rock along for the ride.
