Tonight’s mystery artists, after breaking up some of the members formed a new group with a name that was take off of the original band’s name. Not Magpie Salute, but an older band. Think you know who they were??

We found this band’s tale on neatorama. About a reformed band called ‘The Heads’ from 1996. You may guess that the band they came from was ‘The Talking Heads’ and you’d be right. After the final Talking Heads album in 1988 members would languish for years until David Byrne would finally put the kibosh to any hopes of getting the band back together.  With that the other members decided to go on without him as ‘The Heads’, the catch line: No Talking, Just Head under the name ‘The Heads’. They produced an album featuring many guest artists including Debbie Harry of Blondie and Michael Hutchence of INXS. They then followed up with a tour and Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde performed vocals during those live performances. Dismayed by what he considered the “cashing in” of his former bandmates David Byrne took them to court.
