Tonight’s mystery artists almost gave their first #1 song to Bangor recent visitors Loverboy. Can you guess who the band is or what the song was??

I found this close call for both bands on Ultimate Classic Rock . The song was written by Richie and Jon and was intended to be given to Mike Reno and the guys. The site Song Facts added 'You Give Love A Bad Name' was written allegedly written about actress Diane Lane who had been romantically involved with Jon in the 80’s. They say the romance ended in a painful breakup for Jon. However, painful or not somewhere in the process Bon Jovi and Sambora decided they  liked it so much they kept it for themselves. Sorry Mikey, this hit’s for Bon Jovi.
