Tonight’s mystery artists named themselves after the pseudonym that Paul McCartney used when he checked into hotels. Any guesses to the band or the name McCartney used??

This interesting fact of how Sir Paul protected his anonymity was found on the Fender site. Apparently at least one other group knew the Beatle’s secret of checking in as Paul Ramone. You guessed it, and as a nod to the artist the Ramones were christened. To take things one step further according to the webpage all of the band members used the pseudonym Ramone for their stage names. Their real names were Douglas Colvin aka Dee Dee Ramone), John Cummings aka Johnny Ramone, Thomas Erdelyi aka Tommy Ramone, and Jeffrey Hyman aka Joey Ramone.
