Tonight’s mystery artist in his youth did many odd jobs to pay the bills. He had taught guitar, sold women’s shoes and was driving a Yellow Cab when his soon to be bandmates called and changed his future.  Think you know this artist or the band that would change his life??

This story come from TeamRock as the covered the life and times of REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin.  It was Gary Richrath that would give Kevin the call and urge him to join the band. However Kevin says at first he thought his songs and styles were a bit too soft for the hard rock Deep Purple-esk riffs the band was playing.  Still Gary convinced him it would work and the rest is Rock and Roll history.
