Tonight’s mystery artists were once playing the Boston bar scene as the band Cap’n Swing.  Think you know who they became??

This is part of a biography on AllMusic about the early day before the Cars were The Cars.  The site says that in 1974 Ric Ocasek and Benjamin Orr had formed the group Cap'n Swing, which featured  Elliot Easton on lead guitar. Cap'n Swing was a popular concert attraction in Boston. Despite their popularity in 1975 some of the Cap’n Swing band members went their separate ways. After that dissolution Ocasek, Orr and Easton formed a new band called ‘The Cars’ in 1976 which is when Dave Robinson and Greg Hawkes came on board. ‘The Cars’ would go on to sell millions of albums and will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.

Here they are with tonight's featured song.
