Tonight’s mystery artist’s took up the guitar as a teen while recovering from Mononucleosis and developed as a singer to overcome stuttering. Any guesses who this star might be??

I found this story at the Biography site about a 12 year old Ann Wilson.  In the spring of ‘63 she fell ill and her mother bought her the guitar to keep her busy while she convalesced. Add to that struggling with her weight she had a prominent stutter that made her very self conscious and unhappy as a teen.

Story is that she turned to singing to overcome the stutter and her lack of confidence as she developed her beautiful, resonant and powerful voice.
