Tonight’s mystery artist was only 14 when his mom replied on his behalf to an ad placed by a band looking for a new drummer. Think you know the drummer or the band he would join??

I found this rhythm tidbit on Need Some Fun about Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen. The headline his mom saw was ‘Leppard loses skins’ when they needed to replace Tony Kenning. After his mom contacted the band on November 1, 1978,for his fifteenth birthday, Rick would make a huge decision to drop out of school and join the band. His fans now call him the Thunder God.
