Tonight’s mystery artist says that in his early years he couldn’t wait to get out of Chicago where his music was basically the background music for guys getting beat up by the mafia types.  Think you know who escaped Chicago??

This description of his time in Chicago was given to Sweetwater studios by Steve Miller. This is an interesting chat covering everything from the 40,000 square foot warehouse that was emptied to make his greatest hits to his moving up the ranks over the years playing in many different places with a host of different artists of the day.
