Tonight’s mystery artists covered a song that was a concert opener for Led Zeppelin and a psychedelic blues staple for the Yardbirds  and it became one of their biggest hits.  Can you guess the song or the artists credited for making it a hard rock standard??

This is the story of the song ‘Train Kept A Rollin’ originally performed back in the early 50’s by a rhythm and blues man named Tiny Bradshaw.  The song went on to have many incarnations by popular groups and artists like Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. However, the group that made it a classic rock tune for eternity was of course Aerosmith who often performed it in their early live shows and then added it to their second album.

Here they are with tonight’s featured song.

Led Zeppelin's take.

Yardbirds version.

It is hard to believe but it started with this.
