Tonight’s featured artist is a huge baseball fan and even played semi-pro baseball during the 70’s.  Any guess who our second base man may be??

Our all American boy for America’s favorite pastime is blues man George Thorogood. George has been a baseball fan most of his life, as well as playing semi-pro baseball as a second baseman during the 1970s (drummer Jeff Simon played center field on the same team). He took his daughter to Chicago for her first major league game (Cubs vs. Rockies), during which he sang " Take Me Out To The Ball Game". In a 2011 Guitar World interview, he stated…sorry guys… "I'm a Mets  fan. There aren't many of us, but you know, that's me.”

Could be worse he could have been a Yankees fan. Maybe that is why he drinks alone.
