I-95 Drive Home Mystery Artist [VIDEO]

Tonight’s mystery artist told Rolling Stone that before his bandmate passed he gave him a handshake and a smile. Think you know who this calm person was or the band he played with??

I found this amazing account in A Rolling Stone article about Lynyrd Syknyrd as told by Artimus Pyle about Ronnie Van Zant.  And for all the years I have known how so many of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s member met their end I never pictured it this way.  He told the magazine:

“The one thing I want the world to know about my band is how bravely my band met their death … There was no panic, no chaos. Everyone was in prayer and deep thought,” says Pyle, who recalls the last time he saw Ronnie Van Zant. “Ronnie stopped by me in the aisle, we shook the old hippie handshake and he smiled and walked to the back of the plane.”
