Tonight’s mystery artist heard his song of the radio for the very first time while he was on the job working and truth be told he only caught the end of it.  Any guess who was still working after his songs had been picked up by a radio station??

It is still funny to me with all the smarts that Tom Scholz obviously posses, i.e.: MIT grad, inventor and composer to name just a few evident facts of his brilliance.  Yet he did not trust his music to succeed for years after Boston had been signed to a record deal. Proof of this found on a PBS article where he confesses he was at work the first time he heard his band on the radio. Well, sort of.  He told them he really only caught the fade at the end.

He went on to describe to them what he called his “musical insecurities” telling them

“I totally expected failure”

What a nice surprise that must have been and are we ever glad he didn’t let fear get the best of him.  Here they are with tonight’s featured song. And oh how we loved Brad Delp.
