Tonight’s mystery artist proved that when it comes to hit songs timing can be everything.  This particular artist started playing a song in the 70’s but wouldn’t release it as a single until 1992 when  it topped the charts.  Can you guess the song or the guy with great timing??

Well our guy with the unquestionable timing is George Thorogood and the song is ‘Get A Haircut’ The story goes that because of the grunge movement, aka Nirvana and the like, that happened in the 90’s when he finally released the song as a single is what caused it to go meteoric in both the US and Canada. An interesting thing about the song itself is that one of George’s sites say George wrote the tune and yet in an earlier interview he says that someone else wrote it. No matter we like it either way.
