Tonight’s mystery artists had one of their very few ballads called soppy and too sweet by a Rolling Stone reporter.  Think you know who he was bashing or the song he didn’t care for??

This unkind comment was found in an internet article about the Rolling Stone’s song Angie.  Shrouded by mystery and lured innuendos about David Bowie and Mick Jagger.  Keith Richards who wrote most of it did so while coming out of rehab and said it refers to no one in particular.  And the critic? That was Rolling Stone writer Robert Greenfield who actually used a line from the song as the title for a book he wrote about the Rolling Stones in 2014  called ‘Ain’t It Time We Said Good Bye

His comments on the song:

"Soppy and far too sweet for my taste."

Here they are with their sweet offering.
