Tonight’s features artists wrote a song that was inspired by a fan who stood in the rain for 5 hours waiting to see them play. Can you guess the song or the band??

The man impressed by the fan was Mick Jones of Foreigner.  He told Songfacts the song ‘Juke Box Hero’ was inspired by an actual fan who stood waiting outside an arena for about five hours in the rain. Jones, impressed by his dedication, decided to take him in and give him a glimpse of what happens backstage at a show.

The song was subsequently written by Jones and Lou Gramm and was part of the album ‘4’. It went to #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
