Tonight’s mystery artist at the age of 17 would win three things from a local talent contest that would change his life… a typewriter, a stack of records, and a Vox electric guitar. Can you guess who he might be??

Let’s start with the credit for the contest entry that started the whole thing really goes to his mom. No lie, it was Greg Kinh’s mom who submitted a tape of one of his original songs to the talent contest of the big local Top 40 radio station WCAO. Greg won first place and won what he says are the three things that would change his life: a typewriter, a stack of records, and a Vox electric guitar.

Tonight’s featured song is one of his biggest hits ‘The Break Up Song’ which Greg credits with putting his kids and some of his grand kids through college. Thanks Mom!
