That camera on your smart phone will be in for quite the work out as airplane enthusiasts from all over converge at Moosehead Lake in Greenvile once again this year!

Anyone who digs airplanes will want to make the drive up Route 6 to enjoy the spectacle of the 2018 International Seaplane Fly-In, September 6th through the 9th.

Besides seeing hundred of planes flying above (they call this a Poker Run), and those moored in the harbor, folks can enjoy a buffet dinner aboard the steamboat Katahdin, all sorts of events on Saturday including a Craft Fair, a 5K run/walk, and food served all day by the American Legion. A full schedule of events can be found HERE!

The event started back in 1973 and has grown immensely as of late, as families get to view not only popular seaplanes like Cessnas, Cubs and Beavers, but possibly some rarities like experimental planes and classics like a 1944 Grumman Goose, according to the event's website.
