iPhone Thief Nabbed by Dating App

The owner of a stolen iPhone used technology, an app and a hammer to retrieve his phone.

New York City resident Nadav Nirenburg left his iPhone in a cab on New Year's Eve. The next day he received e-mails notifying him that someone was sending message to women using the dating app on his phone.

Nadav logged onto the service and offered to go on a date with the phone-knapper. He even sent a picture of a pretty lady to further entice the idiot.

Sure enough later that night the iPhone theif showed up at Nadav's apparetment with a bottle of wine. Nadav greeted the man at the door with a hammer and asked for his phone back. The man handed over the phone without a word and left.
