A all-star benefit concert featuring Joe Walsh, Jackson Browne, Michael McDonald and others will be held this March, with all proceeds going to a New York City-based outreach program.

Slated for March 9 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, the Love Rocks NYC concert promises an evening packed with "songs of peace, love and hope." Also slated to appear are Warren Haynes, Dr. John, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, along with a backing band featuring Steve Gadd from Eric Clapton's band and Larry Campbell, a former Bob Dylan collaborator.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at Ticketmaster. There's no word on whether or not Love Rocks NYC will be streamed live or recorded later for broadcast or home viewing.

The bill is rounded out by artists like Mavis Staples, Cyndi Lauper, Sam Moore, from R&B legends Sam and Dave, and Amy Helm, daughter of the late Levon Helm. Proceeds go to God's Love We Deliver, a non-sectarian organization that prepares and delivers meals to New York City-area residents living with debilitating illnesses.

Walsh's appearance arrives in advance of a series of dates with Tom Petty, who's celebrating four decades with the Heartbreakers. Meanwhile, Browne is scheduled to induct Joan Baez into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April. Walsh and Browne performed together at last year's Grammys in tribute to the late Glenn Frey.
