Today John Francis Bongiovi Jr. known as Jon Bon Jovi turns 53.

Jon Bon Jovi is known for more than being a  singer/songwriter. He is also known for being a record producer, philanthropist, and  an actor. He released two solo albums  and twelve studio albums with his band. His albums have sold over 130 million copies worldwide. This made them one of the world's best-selling music artist.

In 2009 Jon Bon Jovi was inducted into the songwriters hall of fame. Then in 2012 he was ranked number fifty on the on the list of Billboard magazine's "Power 100". This is a ranking of the most powerful and influential people in the music Business.Long before then in 1996 he was named by People magazine as one of the "50 most beautiful people in the world". Then in 2000 People magazine named him the "Sexiest Rock Star".
