Keeping Maine Kids Safe From On-Line Predators

Penobscot County Sherriff's will be offering up information to Maine residents on how to guard your family from on-line pedophiles, scammers and those who seek to lure our Maine kids into human trafficking.

The presentation is called  'The Good The Band and the Selfie' Whether you are a caregiver, parent or grandparent, you are welcome and encouraged to attend. Time and location are Thursday, November 9th, in the St. John's Church Parish hall on York Street in Bangor beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Deputy Andy Whitehouse from the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department will be leading a presentation and discussion on keeping your child safe in our online driven society. He will be using examples of local cases and giving parents ideas on how to monitor your child's online activities. This presentation is for mature audiences. We encourage all parents to attend to learn more about this important topic.

There will be another opportunity to attend on Nov. 14th at 7PM at the Milford School Library.
