A 7 year old border collie from Cape Elizabeth won the first ever "Agility Competition" at last night's Westminster Kennel Club's Dog Show in New York!

Kelso, a border collie who thinks that he's a lap dog was trained by his owner Delaney Ratner of Cape Elizabeth, Maine.  Delaney is currently a 20 year old student at the University of Massachusetts, she also teaches agility courses.  She has been training Kelso since she got him when she was 16.

The first ever agility competition was open to mixed breeds and Kelso completed the course in 28.44 seconds.

Delaney attended the 138th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show with her mother and five other dogs.  Another of the dogs, Jonesy, a 9-year-old miniature schnauzer placed first in it's division running the agility course, but Kelso was named the Champ!
