Have your pick - numerous kittens are available for adoption right now at the SPCA of Hancock County!

We just heard from River, who is the Development Director at the SPCA, and she informs us that if you'd like to add a cat or two to your family, now is the time!

River tells us that, "the SPCA of Hancock County is overflowing with beautiful, well-socialized kittens of various colors and ages. We have active kittens and mellow kittens, clingy kittens and independent kittens, tuxedo kittens and tabby kittens, fluffy kittens and sleek kittens! If you don’t see the perfect one at the shelter right now, make sure you put in your application anyway - we have many more in foster, and more new arrivals all the time. You can take your kitten home as a foster-to-adopt when they reach 9 weeks old, and then bring them back for their spay/neuter surgery and to finalize the adoption when they are big enough."

Every cat that we've ever owned has come from either the SPCA in Ellsworth or Bangor, and they've all given us many healthy years of loving!  Go get one....or two!

Here's the cost to adopt a cat at the SPCA:

Kittens 8 weeks to 5 months: $150 (or 225 for a pair

6 months to 11 months: $120

Young adult: 1 year to 5 years: $90
