The John Lackey vs Felix Hernandez pitching matchup never materialized in Seattle Monday night. Instead, gave up a season high seven runs and could not make it out of the fourth inning. The Mariners pounded the Red Sox 12-3.

While Lackey was giving up seven runs on seven hits and three walks in 3.2 innings, the Sox offense was silent vs King Felix. He gave up just two runs in seven innings.

The first two hitters and the last three batters in the Sox lineup went a combined 0-for-18.
