You've seen the helicopter fly over your city or town.  While at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor either as a patient, visitor or worker there, you've seen it take off.  The helicopter, on it's way to transport someone who's badly hurt back to the hospital.  The helicopter that gives someone in dire need a fighting chance to survive.

On Saturday (9/28), LifeFlight of Maine celebrates it 15th anniversary, and is inviting the public to join them on the rooftop helipad at EMMC!  15 years ago Saturday, LifeFlight flew to Deblois, a small town in the woods between Route 9 and Cherryfield, landed and then transported a patient back to Bangor. Since then LifeFlight has touched the lives of 15,000 people.

Former patients and their family members will talk about how LifeFlight has helped them.  The LifeFlight medical crew, pilots and staff will give tours of the helipad and answer your questions.

The helipad will be open for you between 10:30am and 1:30pm. Light snacks and beverages will be served.
