After a warm start to winter, the weather is finally ice worthy!

An acre sized ice castle has finally been 'grown' in New Hampshire. It officially opens Friday and estimated to run until March. It's open to the public Monday through Thursday 3-9PM. Friday 3-10PM, Saturday 12-10PM and closed Sunday. Online tickets are $12.95 for adults weekdays and $15.95 on weekends. Child discounts are available. You can purchase tickets on-site. Caution they cost a little more.

The frozen art features archways, tunnels, an ice slide and waterfalls that are lit up with colored LED lights frozen into the ice.

Utah based company, Ice Castles, make these massive fortress. Owner Brent Christensen started the company after finding enjoyment in building slides and frozen towers for his children in his backyard.

The ice castle is once again at the Hobo Scenic Railroad Station at 64 Railroad Street in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Google Maps says that's about four hours away from Bangor.
