Here we are September 16th and I still have no channel 5 on my DISH and they don't seem to give a care.  Apparently their $$ are more important than my viewing satisfaction or the fact that I pay for the service and that was part of the program when I signed up. But now on the horizon is a chance for me to have what I always thought should have been an option in the first place, channels a la carte. Granted I'll still have to get my local channels through the internet but I do that now thanks to the DISH snit and I am surviving doing that  so why not change everything.

If you too have grown weary of paying for more cable channels that you even use, Keep the faith news has it that Verizon is looking to change the TV game. The company is planning to launch an Internet-based TV service next year that can also be watched on your mobile devices. The service will offer "a la carte" options rather than making you pay for an entire bundle of channels that you don’t care about. Think about it that and an antenna may solve all your issues and save you money.

If this sounds good to you you're not alone. The number of cord-cutting homes has increased dramatically in just three years, from 5.1 million homes in 2010 to 7.6 million homes in 2013. You'd think someone in the cable industry would catch on and care.
