In this age of social media and electronics could you possibly have five minutes to watch a poignant video that may open your eyes to more than what's on the screen of a cell phone?

We all get a kick out of that couple sitting at the restaurant table, both staring into their phones, not talking to each other.  Of course the running joke is that they probably are talking to each other via their cells.

You see people walking down the sidewalk staring into their phone.  During a concert, you see people all holding up their phones recording the performance, instead of just standing there watching and enjoying the show.

For young people growing up in this day and age you almost have to think that they don't know any better.  That there is life beyond the glare of the screen.  For people my age and older it's mystifying.  Yes we see the benefit of instant communication and information, although a lot of us cannot believe how addicted those are to what's inside the digital world.

I always got a kick out of that rainy morning that I was on my way to work listening to our station and I heard our then morning show announcer say that it was partly sunny outside.  When I got to work I asked him why he said that it was partly sunny on the air when it was pouring rain, he said because the website on his computer said that it was.

What's on the computer isn't real.  What's outside the window is.

I think that this video sends an important message.  When it's done, look up from your phone and live life, if you can, and I think that you can.
