Chumley showed up on a kind person’s porch one morning, asking cheerfully for breakfast. They brought him in, fed him, and set about finding his owner… but despite weeks of looking, asking, calling around, and posting flyers, it seemed that Chumley had no human to call his own.

Unfortunately, the other cats in the kind person’s house didn’t like him. Chumley was

clearly an older kitty, and the younger cats would not give him a moment’s peace. Luckily, the SPCA of Hancock County is here to help!

Chumley was checked out at the vet. He’s an older kitty, for sure - maybe ten? Chumley is reasonably healthy for his age, and is looking for a nice quiet place to retire where someone will make sure that he gets his “old cat care” needs met as they come along.

He’s a darling older gentleman who loves to take naps, cuddle on the couch, and sit quietly in the windowsill to watch the birds.

For more information about Chumley, please give the shelter a call at 667-8088!
