Magnificent Summer Margaritas Just in Time for the Sun of a Beach Festival
We are gearing up for this weekend’s Darling’s Sun of a Beach Festival by celebrating margaritas! We have a variety of unusual margaritas for you to try out this summer. Some may seem a little strange but be a little adventurous and give them a try!
Frozen Mango Margarita
10 oz frozen, diced mango
1/.4 cup fresh lime juice
2/3 cup tequila
2 tablespoons orange liqueur
2 tablespoons superfine sugar
2 cups ice water
Throw all the ingredients in a blender for this fruity margarita that will cool you down on a hot summer day.
Chocolate Peanut butter Margarita
2 parts tequila
1 part buttershots
2 cups chocolate ice cream
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
Chocolate sauce and Peanut butter to rim the glass
Blend these ingredients for a sweet treat that will certainly make your day better.
Smokey Watermelon Jalapeno Margarita
1 jalapeno pepper
2 ounces tequila
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce watermelon puree
3/4 ounce agave syrup
hickory smoked salt to rim glass
If your looking to try something a little different, but still fun and summery, this is the margarita for you.
Sour Patch Margarita
2 ounces Voodoo Tiki Green Dragon tequila
1/2 ounce melon liqueur
1/2 ounce triple sec
1 ounce sour mix
1 ounce orange juice
sugar to rim the glass
sugar coated lemon for garnish
Remember eating Sour Patch Kids when you were little? Or maybe you still love them and had some just yesterday. Either way this unique creation has just the right kick of sour to remind you of your favorite treat.
Straw-Ber-Rita and Lime-A-Rita
By far the easiest of the summer margaritas to make.
Step 1: Open Can
Step 2: Drink
The best part about these though is that you can get them at our Sun of a Beach festival on Sunday at the Bangor Waterfront! You can buy tickets here!
