Motor vehicle accidents continue to be the number one cause of death to those aged 16-19. Based on things like number of teen driver fatalities, DUIs and economic factors, Wallethub.com has determined the best and worst states for teen drivers. 

Maine ranks 42 with the worst scores for 'Safety Conditions' and 'Economic Environment'. Maine also has one of the highest premium increases after adding a teenage driver to the policy.
