Maine Governor LePage Orders Flags To Half-Staff Immediately

Once again, another senseless shooting has affected us all here in the United States.

In a statement this morning, Governor Paul Lepage has directed both the United States and State Of Maine flags to be flown at half-staff beginning immediately and continuing until sunset this Thursday, November 9th, out of respect to the more than 25 innocent church goers shot dead yesterday in Sutherland Springs, Texas.

"Ann and I are incredibly shocked and saddened by the senseless and unprovoked shootings in Texas," said Governor LePage. "Our hearts and prayers go out to the innocent victims and the families who have been devastated by this horrific act of violence."

President Donald J. Trump also issued a proclamation today directing flags to half-staff as a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless act of violence perpetrated in Sutherland Springs, Texas.
