Maine Man Arrested For Child Pornography

A Sanford man was arrested Thursday and charged with possessing dozens of images and videos of child pornography.

Robert Gouin, 35, was arrested after his apartment on Emery Street was searched by members of the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Sanford Police Department and Homeland Security, the Maine Department of Public Safety said in a news release Friday afternoon.

Authorities searched the home and located the pornography on Gouin's electronic equipment after state police received a tip, the release said.

Gouin was taken to the York County Jail in Alfred and was later released on bail.

He will make his initial court appearance in December.
