Hey, watch where you step.

This Sunday, July 22nd,  many farms in Maine will open the barn door to show everyone how it's done during the 29th Annual Open Farm Day, and sustainability is the key!  Find out how others grow and produce vegetables, fruits, meat, fiber, and get a look at Maine agriculture overall.

Bring the family, and see how things are done behind the scenes at farms like Treworgy Family Orchards in Levant, The Nancy Place Homestead in Orland, Ripley Farm in Dover-Foxcroft, Itty Bitty Farm in Columbia Falls, Lone Spruce Farm in Dedham, Ellie's Daylilies & Serendipity Shop in Troy, and many more!  For a full listing and an interactive map, go HERE!

According to the Open Farm Day website, other activities may include barn and field tours, milking, hay rides, nature trails, beautiful scenery, samples for tasting, entertainment, refreshments and animals to view, depending on which farm that you select to visit.

There is no admission charge, and the hours of this year's Open Farm Day are 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
