The morning commute may be challenging, as a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for our area.

A mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain will arrive early Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service office in Caribou.  The precipitation should arrive in the Bangor area around 7 a.m. and then in the Ellsworth area closer to 8.

A wintry mix along with coastal winds will develop early in the day with up to 2 inches of snow and sleet mix expected in Bangor.  Temperatures will start out cold, but then rise to near 40 by early afternoon.

The good news is that Saturday will be partly sunny with a high temperature of 41 degrees, although a cold front moves into our area Saturday night.  Mostly sunny and only 20 degrees by Sunday.
