Mainers Feel Effect of Tuesday Night Earthquake

People throughout parts of Maine were shaken up Tuesday night as a 4.0-magnitude earthquake rattled windows and frightened pets just after 7 p.m.

The epicenter of the quake was determined to be located in the Maine town of Center Hollis, located west of Portland.

According to the USGS’ “Did You Feel It?” map, residents across New England, including the city of Boston, and as far away as Pittsburgh, Pa. and northern New Jersey felt Tuesday’s quake.

As of 9 p.m. (ET), there were no reports of severe damage, according to NBC News.
