Report: Man Charged with Wife’s Murder in Ellsworth

A 30-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the Christmas Day death of his wife at the couple's apartment in Ellsworth, according to a report from the Ellsworth American.

According to that report, Christopher Saenz was charged late Friday night with the murder of his 29-year-old wife, Hillary Saenz. Police are considering it a domestic violence homicide.

Maine State Police Lt. Chris Coleman told the newspaper that the victim died of blunt force trauma.

Saenz was taken to the Hancock County Jail after his arrest.

The couple has two children, an 8-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl, according to the report.
