We always take every opportunity to recognize our local military heroes!

Congratulations to Ensign Darick Reynolds of the U.S. Navy, a 2017 Husson University graduate, who is now developing the skills to become a naval supply officer!

According to a press release, students must pass a "rigorous course structure" in order to become a supply officer, one of the Navy's greatest assets.

I want to serve as a supply officer because I like the aspects of the job,” said Reynolds. "I like business because managing personnel, money and other assets is rewarding to me."

Working as part of a very big team, supply officers in the Navy make sure that sailors have the tools and equipment they need to deter and take on any threat worldwide.  “I grew up in a small town (Hermon, Maine), so I learned a sense of community,” said Reynolds. "Everyone comes together to solve problems."

We thank Ensign Darick Reynolds for his commitment to the U.S. Navy and for his help in protecting our freedom and keeping us safe!

Serving in the Navy gives me a sense of pride and a sense of fulfillment,” said Reynolds.
