Caite Upton Is The McDonald’s ‘What’s Connecticut’ Girl [VIDEOS + PHOTO]

We've seen and heard it a thousand times, the McDonalds commercial for Newman's Iced Coffee!  You know, the one where the actors try to mimic different New England accents.  "It's wicked awesome!"

Well, I've finally figured out who the cute blonde girl is at the end of the commercial, the one that says, "What's Connecticut?"

Now of course she's probably asking what sort of accent one from Connecticut would have. Because really, there isn't any sort of accent in Connecticut.  Folks there speak about as standard as you possibly can.

But, after discovering Caitlin Upton, the newly crowned "What's Connecticut Girl," one would have to wonder if it was a play on words.

You see Caitlin Upton, is the former Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2007, the same pageant contestant that was asked why "a fifth of Americans could not locate the U.S. on a map, and why do you think that is?"

Her answer left a lot to be desired.

Maybe she really didn't know what a Connecticut was.

Lauren Caitlin Upton was born in Lexington, South Carolina.  She's 24 years old and now lives in Los Angeles.

In 2010 Upton was a contestant on The Amazing Race, she has also appeared in a Weezer video (see below).   She's a professional model and even has her own web series called Learning Stuff.

We think that Caite is pretty enough to get away with just about anything, and we'd gladly show her where Maine is on the map!
