Maine Drug Enforcement agents will be in Bangor today, investigating a suspected meth lab.

Police officers were called to a residence on Winter Street on Thursday afternoon. A search of the home found evidence of a meth manufacturing operation. The scene was secured and the MDEA was notified.

We'll update this story as more details become available.

This is the 46th meth lab bust in Maine this year, which is an all-time high. Last year, there were 37 meth lab incidents responded to by MDEA, which was a record high, at the time.

Anyone with information concerning drug trafficking in their community is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency or the closest MDEA task force office. They can also call and leave a message on MDEA's tip-line at 1-800-452-6457
