The internet is burning up this morning with reports of a meteor reportedly seen in the Eastern U.S. sky. Twitter was filled with reports of sightings last night from Ohio, Washington D.C., Boston, and even Maine!

There are few videos of the bright light in sky, but a few security cameras picked up the image. The video below shows the actual footage. NORAD told CNN that whatever this object was, it was not man-made. NORAD is the North American Aerospace Defense Command. There's no word on the object impacting the Earth so, either they haven't found it, or perhaps it burned up in the atmosphere before hitting ground.

Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot of activity in our skies lately? Some think it's cool. Others think it's scary! What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below. Is it a sign that the world is becoming a dangerous place, vulnerable to a possible devastating meteor hit? Or is it a cool act of nature that reminds us that we are part of a much larger universe?
